Probably the most unusual electric vehicles (and one of the cheapest) you can buy, the Renault Twizy is a small and compact quadricycle that's perfect for driving in cities. With a range of around 100 km and a compact form factor that allows you to park it pretty much anywhere, the Twizy is perfect for short trips around town or the small commute to work.

Charging the Renault Twizy takes about three-and-a-half hours using a conventional plug socket thanks to the tiny 6.1kWh battery. Despite not charging any faster using a dedicated 7.4kW home wallbox, we still recommend you use one as it's the safest method of home charging but will also allow you to take advantage of off-peak rates using charge schedules.
Please note: an adaptor is required to charge the Twizy using a Type 2 charging cable.
