Charging Guide
Is there a car that is more iconic than the MINI? Perhaps not, but the MINI has undergone another defining change – it’s electric. It also has a cheaper starting price than the petrol versions (RM 226,000), marking it out as a real viable alternative to existing MINI fans and potential new ones. The car has a range of 234 km thanks to the 32.6kWh battery pack. While this is not a class-leading range, the car is designed for urban areas where daily mileage is low and public chargers are or will be in abundance in addition to the owner’s home charger.
Charging time for the MINI Electric is about 4.75 hours when using a 7.4kW home charge point. If you can access a public rapid charger and make use of the 50kW DC charging then a 0-80% recharge is possible in 29 minutes.
