Having been quietly electrifying its range of cars with plug-in hybrids, such as the 330e, and fully electric cars such as the i3, BMW is setting its sights on its core market - the executive saloon. The BMW i4 eDrive40 will have a range of around 590 km thanks to the large 83.9kWh battery.

Charging time for the BMW i4 is about 13 hours from empty to full using a 7.4kW dedicated home charge point. The BMW also includes CCS rapid charging, so you can expect a 10-80% recharge to take about 30 minutes on a 200kW DC rapid charger.
